The full Spanish properties catalogue starts here → Last newsApril 8th, 2013 Mario Draghi: «Spain is not Cyprus» That is what Mario Draghi, head of the European Central Bank (ECB), said during a press conference held Thursday, April 4th. The same day he sent to Madrid a positive appreciation for his handling of the crisis; see the summary on Euronews: Spain is on the right track. Therefore, the question is no longer whether property prices in Spain will continue to decrease, but when they will start to rise again. They are likely to remain low for another year or two, but the emergence of a «hidden bubble» of the demand must be taken into account. On the one hand, an interior need for housing exists, and the Spanish economy is in recovery, with a purchasing power linked to it. On the other hand the Europeans who really want to buy a property in Spain will not wait much longer hoping to see prices fall further: after all, a Costa Blanca villa is not only an investment, it is also for pleasure. A crisis is not eternal And finally some well capitalized potential investors, more interested in the «investment» aspect than by their own pleasure, following closely the two previous arguments, seek to identify the key moment to buy; since the beginning of this year, some (mainly Anglo-Saxon funds) are taking action. A crisis is not eternal: it has been lasting five years already, and it is not likely to last until 2018. I thank you for your visit and wish you wonderful discoveries while flipping through these Spanish real estate pages, also thanking you for your comprehension about the mistakes you will find in my “Swiss Federal English”… Next edition: mid-May, 2013. My Costa Blanca property in Spain, May 2013, large villa for sale in Calpe upon Port Blanc, exceptional location with view over the harbour.
